Welcome to the Netley Marsh Parish Council website

Netley Marsh is a small village in the New Forest.  Close to Southampton and the M27 yet the village is very rural in character.

We hope you find the information in the menus on the left useful.

Any member of the public requiring a matter to be considered by the Parish Council, should ideally inform the Clerk 7 days prior to the next meeting so that it can be included on the agenda

Next Parish Council meeting 19 April 7.15 pm - Planning,  7.45 monthly meeting at Netley Marsh Community Hall,  SO40 7GE

Official Opening of the new Play Area and Outdoor Gym will be held at 4pm on Friday 7 April to be followed at 6pm by the Annual Parish Meeting.  All welcome.  Light refreshments will be available. 

Thanks to generous grant funding, the playground. outdoor gym equipment and new goalpost installation  is now installed and available for play.    Our grant application has been approved but it did not cover everything, if you would like to organise a fund raiser to help with the extra expenditure or have any ideas on this do please let us know - exciting times for Netley Marsh.

NB: The Parish Council meetings are usually held from 7.15 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except August), in Netley Marsh (note December meetings are held on, 2nd Wednesday

High Speed Broadband: is now available in some parts of the parish.  You can find out if your property has the facility online.

Pot Holes:

Once a Pot hole is reported to the County Council, any damage resulting from it can be the subject of a compensation claim.  To report pot holes go to

Footpath 5, Loperwood to Loperwood Lane.  The Parish Council is applying for this footpath to be upgraded to a bridleway.  Your views on this should be sent to the Clerk to the Parish Council, Kilderkin, Lea Road, Blackfield SO45 1YW
