Netley Marsh is a small village in the New Forest.  Close to Southampton and the M27 yet the village is very rural in character.

School crossing patrol person

Netley Marsh School needs a crossing patrol person, job share would be considered, if you would be willing to consider this please contact the school direct 023 8086 2009

Dogs on the Recreation Ground:

at the November meeting it was agreed that a line will be marked on the recreation ground, from the north edge of the Community Hall building to the west (top) hedge of the field.  To the north (right as you stand at the five bar gate looking up the field)

Dogs on leads will be allowed

to the south, (left as you stand at the five bar gate looking up the field) no dogs will be allowed.

All dog mess MUST be removed. 

If there is any problem with dog mess then the ruling banning dogs may be reinstated.

Any member of the public requiring a matter to be considered by the Parish Council, should ideally inform the Clerk 7 days prior to the next meeting so that it can be included on the agenda.  Any item brought to the Parish Council meeting without prior notification may be added to the following meetings agenda.

NB: The Parish Council meetings are usually held from 7.15 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except August), in Netley Marsh (note December meetings are held on, 2nd Wednesday

High Speed Broadband: is now available in some parts of the parish.  You can find out if your property has the facility online.

Pot Holes:

Once a Pot hole is reported to the County Council, any damage resulting from it can be the subject of a compensation claim.  To report pot holes go to

Footpath 5, Loperwood to Loperwood Lane.  The Parish Council is applying for this footpath to be upgraded to a bridleway.  Your views on this should be sent to the Clerk to the Parish Council, Kilderkin, Lea Road, Blackfield SO45 1YW
